When the community comes together, big goals become real. A pledge is your promise put on the record, and you decide whether you pay today or later. The form below asks for an amount, a schedule, and a way to reach you, and that is the whole of it.
A pledge is a promise, not a charge. Nothing is taken from you at the moment you submit this form unless you choose to pay right away. If you tell us you intend to pay next month, the masjid plans on that and the secretary simply keeps your word on the ledger until it is fulfilled. You can change an amount or a date at any time by writing to secretary@gsismasjid.org.
Three steps, and you are finished.
The whole point of this page is that supporting the masjid should not feel like paperwork. Here is everything the form actually asks of you, so there are no surprises once you scroll down to it.

Select a pledge amount
Pick one of the set amounts on the form, or type your own figure in the custom amount box. There is no minimum and there is no figure that is too small to be worth recording.
One time gifts and recurring schedules live on the same form. If you would rather give a little every week or every month, choose the weekly or monthly option instead of a single amount. You do not need to hunt for a different page.

Choose when you will fulfill it
You can pay today and be done with it, or you can tell us in the notes when you intend to pay and leave it there. Both are real pledges and both are recorded the same way.
Later is genuinely fine. Families budget around paydays, harvests, bonuses, and Ramadan, and the masjid would far rather hold an honest date than press for money that has not arrived yet.

Submit, and we follow up only if needed
Most pledges never need a phone call at all. The secretary reaches out only when something on the form is missing, when a date you named has passed, or when your notes ask us to remind you.
You will not be added to a calling list. Giving once does not sign you up for anything, and one pledge does not become a monthly phone call about the next campaign.
Where your pledge goes, and who sees it.
A promise that disappears into an inbox is not worth much. This is the path every pledge takes once the form closes, written out so you can hold us to it.
It is recorded the same day. Your pledge is written into the Giving Desk ledger against the fund you name in the notes, or the general fund if you leave that blank, so nothing is lost in the gap between a promise made at the masjid and a payment that arrives three weeks later. The board reads that ledger when it plans, which is exactly why a pledge you have not yet paid is still useful to us.
Every payment produces a receipt. When a payment clears, the receipt carries a code you can confirm for yourself at gsismasjid.org/verify. Grand Strand Islamic Society is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt charitable organization, so keep the receipt for your records at the end of the year.
Your contact details are working details, nothing more. A name, an email address, and a phone number are collected so that the secretary can send you a receipt and reach you if a date slips. They are not a mailing list, not a profile, and not something we pass to anybody else.
If a date passes and nothing arrives, you get one polite message. Not a series of them. Life happens, intentions change, and a pledge that cannot be fulfilled is closed quietly with no comment from anyone.
If somebody handed you a card
The masjid runs pledge drives with numbered cards and with tables at events, and each card and each table carries its own link. If you reached this page from one of them, the card is already named inside the link you followed.
- A small note appears above the form confirming which card you are on, so you can see we read it correctly.
- The pledge is filed under that card, which is how the masjid tells one drive apart from another at the end of the week.
- The card changes nothing about what you give, what you pay, or when you pay it.
- No card is tied to your identity. It marks the table you were standing at, not you.
Arrived here without a card? Then there is nothing to do. The form works exactly the same way and the note above it simply stays out of your way. If you were given a card and the note does not appear, use the link on the card again from the start rather than typing the address by hand, and tell the secretary if it still does not show.
